The fit and healthy students at ICS love running and exercising with other youngsters.  Approximately 50 ICS students participated in the annual Peachtree Junior race in Piedmont Park on May 31. Our school had one of the largest teams at the event.

                                                                                                                                 

ICS is named an International Baccalaureate World School!  We reached a major milestone Feb. 4, as we were notified we had been authorized to offer the Primary Years Programme (PYP) within the IB framework.  To learn more, go to the International Baccalaureate Organization website.   

 

ICS Recognized as National Distinguished Title 1 School, one of only two in Georgia and 41 nationwide. This honor is reserved for Title I schools with outstanding academic results. Click here to read the speech given by an ICS 5th grader at the awards ceremony.

 

Three staff members received an expense-paid trip to the National Distinguished Title 1 Conference in Nashville. To learn more about the conference, click here.

 

Principal Bill Moon was awarded the newly-created “Shoot for the Moon” award at the January Georgia Charter School Association conference.  The award recognizes a charter public school leader or advocate who has innovatively and creatively pursued high quality educational options for Georgia families.

Read Across America event. Rob Cleveland, Audrey Galex

and Andy Offutt Irwin were inspiring and entertaining as they

told stories that showcased aspects of the IB Learner Profile.
